| Key to Success: Career Counseling |
"Lillian" had been
a highly respected college professor for many years
before a new academic administration changed the
policies and environment of her university department.
When she came to Women At Work, Lillian knew
she had to leave her position or risk being fired.
Since she had been in a stable position for
so many years, Lillian was out of touch with the
job market and needed to develop job search skills,
including resume preparation, networking, and effective
interviewing.
She wanted to continue teaching but didn't
know how to identify opportunities in her narrow
field of specialization.
Lillian's career counselor helped her update
her resume and brainstormed with her as she identified
current and former colleagues with whom she could
network. She worked on preparing an "interview script"
which didn't disparage her current administration.
Lillian
made great progress. After about five
months, she had identified three local colleges
that were interested in hiring her. When she last
spoke to her career counselor, she was scheduled
to teach five classes during the Fall semester!

| EASY Ways to Help
Women At Work |
|
Women At Work is participating in a powerful
fundraising opportunity called eScrip.
What is eScrip?
eScrip is a hassle-free way for non-profits to
raise funds through everyday purchases made at eScrip
merchants.
How does it work?
eScrip and hundreds of merchant partners have created
a system that rewards customer loyalty by contributing
a percentage of your purchases to Women At Work. You
shop the way you normally do for groceries, clothing,
travel and entertainment. It's simple and convenient,
all you need to do is register your grocery club card
and debit/credit card(s). You can even select
up to 3 different charities to benefit!
Simple Registration-Register Today!
-
Log on to www.escrip.com and go to "sign up"
-
Designate Women At Work to receive contributions.
Our Group ID is #500017403. Register your
grocery club cards from a participating merchant
-- and your debit, ATM and credit cards if you
wish.
-
That's it! Visit eScrip merchants to shop. It's
automatic! We can potentially receive hundreds
of dollars from your participation alone!
GoodSearch is a search
engine which donates 50-percent of its revenue to
the charities and schools designated by its users.
It's a simple and compelling concept. You use GoodSearch
exactly as you would any other search engine. Because
it's powered by Yahoo!, you get proven search results.
The money GoodSearch donates to your cause comes
from its advertisers - the users and the organizations
do not spend a dime!

Go to Goodshop
Every time you click over to one of Goodshop's
partner merchants from the GoodShop site and then make
a purchase, your charity earns money. The more
you shop, the more your charity makes!
Consider making a Tax-deductible donation
As the calendar year comes to a
close, consider a tax deductible donation. Your
generous support gives us the chance to touch someone
else who needs help. Donate here.
Thank you for all your support!
